About TEDxSFU
Every year, TEDxSFU conferences provide a platform for industry professionals, advocates, educators, and storytellers to showcase their ideas worth spreading. TEDxSFU continues to engage over 2,500 members in the Metro Vancouver area annually through community members conferences, dialogue sessions, and after-party events. We're excited to gather a community of supporters who share similar desires to build community and spaces for storytelling, dialogue, and exploration of today's most intriguing and pressing topics.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSFU, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSFU event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
